Entertaining was the driving factor for this project, with an emphasis on having clear sight lines of the main floor.
When this project first came to us, the floor plan was fragmented and lacked storage and circulation space. In order to achieve the ideal entertainment space we relocated the kitchen to the centre of the home, creating a primary space for family and friends to gather. There were areas of the home that could not be removed, such as the wall that separated the front hallway and dining room. It was crucial that this space felt bright and open, so the incorporation of a custom window wall helped to achieve this.
The materials used provide a neutral backdrop, layered with warm wood tones and soft marble accents. Decorative features such as wallpaper and artwork pay homage to past adventures and experiences, while prints and warm textures were grouped together to create youthful and fun spaces.
The home now has a bright contemporary feel that will provide a space for its vibrant family to grow into.
